“We can judge our progress by the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers, our willingness to embrace what is true rather than what feels good.”
Carl Segan
Astrophysicist
“Early success is a terrible teacher. You're essentially being rewarded for a lack of preparation, so when you find yourself in a situation where you must prepare, you can't do it. You don't know how.”
Chris Hadfield
astronaut
“You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”
Exposure to the various branches of electrical engineering during my time at UCSD makes me a well-rounded engineer who understands the discipline as a whole. However, I've found my passion to be in embedded systems and digital signal processing (DSP). I enjoy designing real-time systems capable of efficiently driving DSP algorithms despite memory and speed constraints inherent within most embedded systems. I thrive in environments where I can prototype, design, develop, and optimize such systems.
I'm most happy when I've encouraged others to learn. I enjoy engaging with curious minds and think good communication is key towards making engineering exciting for everyone. I promote encouraging environments where I can teach and guide others; whether it's explaining engineering theories, discussing new technologies, career advice, or showcasing new projects.
On my free time I enjoy pursing my endless string of hobbies; developing embedded projects, reading fictions at random cafes, beekeeping, and mead-making.
