During my internship at IKA Works, a German-based leading manufacturer of laboratory equipment, I gained valuable experience in applying electrical engineering principles to real-world projects. Under the guidance of my mentor Jose, I progressed from mastering soldering techniques and performing hardware/software reliability testing to verifying embedded programs and analog circuits for the flagship ElectraSyn 2.0 product. Leveraging my acquired skills, I transitioned to a lead intern role within the R&D department, where I was responsible for developing a new motorless, slim, and user-friendly magnetic stir plate product capable of simultaneously driving 25 smalls vials or 4 large vials up to 1500 RPMs. Through meticulous problem-solving and collaborative efforts, I successfully developed a functional prototype that met the project requirements. The successful presentation of this prototype paved the way for further development and iteration.
